Upon graduation, Eric moved south to Los Angeles and established Eric Roinestad Design, a boutique graphic design firm specializing in print work for the entertainment and fashion industries. His client list includes Virgin Records, Warner Bros. Records, Fox Searchlight Films, Universal Pictures, Chronicle Books, the Los Angeles Philharmonic and more. Eric was a key member of the team that conceived and launched Flaunt Magazine, the award-winning monthly publication that pioneered an innovative approach to art, music, design,  and fashion. Eric's inventive cover constructions and interior layouts for Flaunt are considered collectors items by many in the magazine world. In 2002, Eric became the senior art director for Capitol Records, where he was responsible for re-imagining the Capitol Records brand and designing album packaging for the label's top talent.

With a focus on hand-crafted ceramic objects, the launch of ER Studio marks an evolution in Eric's artistic practice. ER Studio produces unique sculptural objects, home accessories, furniture and lighting. The current collection takes inspiration from both the natural landscape of Southern California and the design aesthetics of Eric's own Scandinavian heritage, presenting an elegant visual synergy between organic and modern forms.
